HAPPY PANCAKE DAY X

From pips to rosy reds in just one year!

Welcome to Apple Tree Class!!

THE MINIBEASTS HAVE ARRIVED!!! Well done to all of you for making such wonderful ‘moving minibeasts’ as your home learning task for this half-term. If you haven’t already been into class to see them all then make sure you do, they are amazing!

Over the coming weeks I will add photos and information relevant to our interests, animals seem quite popular at the moment! We will continue with our  weekly ‘Forest School’ sessions. These will run every Tuesday afternoon in our school grounds. The children will need to bring a spare change of play clothes, weather appropriate. They should all have a pair of wellington boots in school which they can wear and we have all-in-one waterproof suits for them to put on.

Forest School

Apple Tree class have been enjoying ‘Forest School’ and learning about our outside classroom. We toasted marshmellows by the fire today sat under the shelter of the trees whilst the rain poured down. We enjoyed a fire side story and tried our hand at painting with mud. I have uploaded some photos for you to enjoy.

We have had a wonderful school trip to Eden to enjoy an ‘Ice Play’ session. The children had sledges, diggers, trucks and trikes and much more to play with. It was fantastic fun! Here are a few photos of our wonderful day.

On Monday we performed our class Nativity to the pre-school children and their parents. It was magnificent. Pre-school then treated us to a beautiful performance of ‘Twinkle, twinkle little star’. It really was my favourite day of this school year!!

The children have been motivated and inspired by bugs and creepy crawlies. They found worms, beetles, hopper bugs and snails in our School grounds. We even had a go at worm charming!! Don’t forget to make a minibeast at home and bring it into school to be displayed. Some fantastic work has already started to arrive and we can’t wait to see more.
