Conker Class

Conkers!

Here in Conker Class we belong to the ‘Give it a Go Club’ which means we try and have a go at everything even if we find it hard!  We support each other in our learning and have lots of fun along the way!  In our class we have year 5 and year 6 children, our class teacher is Mrs Naylor and we are lucky to have Mrs Field as our TA.

Future Plans…

Watch out all you super villains out there!   In a classroom, deep in the heart of Lostwithiel School the faint cries of ‘Kapow!’  and ‘Bammm!’ can be heard as our budding Superheroes perfect their super skills for SUPERHERO day.

The Conkers trip to the Isles of Scilly is fast approaching.  The children have been fundraising since September and have racked up a healthy wodge of cash to help towards the cost of the trip.  In March the children will be taking part in a sponsored silence … can they do it?

The Biscuit Project

The Biscuit Project

The project involved making biscuits and decorating them so people bought them. We also were advertising it around the school so if people saw the poster they would hopefully come straight to our stall! Click on the picture to download the poster.

GET SET FOR THE OLYMPICS!

Well done to everyone for giving 100% in their SATs.  Let’s hope that your hard work gets the results you wanted.

There are many exciting things to look forward to this final half term:
  •           Year 6 Isles of Scilly trip / Year 5 trips
  •           Sports Day
  •           Leavers’ Assembly

Our topic this term is the Olympic Games.  We are extremely lucky to be hosting the ‘Greatest Show on Earth’ and it really is a chance of a lifetime we cannot miss.  We have studied the ancient Olympics and Modern Olympic legends and will now focus on London 2012; the meaning of the modern games and team GB future stars!  Check out London 2012 website.

Which Olympic and Paralympic Values can you show in school?
  • Respect, Excellence & Friendship
  • Courage, Determination, Inspiration & Equality
