Welcome to Lostwithiel Primary School, proud to be part of the Peninsula Learning Trust. It is my pleasure and privilege to be the Headteacher of such a very happy school. Our children are well-behaved, they work hard, try their best and thoroughly enjoy learning – they are, quite simply a pleasure to teach!
Our staff are committed to making learning exciting by planning inspiring topics enriched by extracurricular visits, visitors to the school and a diverse range of clubs for children to develop their interests and skills outside of the classroom.
Our outdoor learning space is exceptional and every child within our school knows about the environment and how we can take care of it. They work in the gardens and the woods to connect the curriculum to the natural world.
There is a very real sense of community within our school – we are a family school. However, we recognise our duty to raise awareness with regard to all aspects of community cohesion, celebrating children and their families who bring a range of cultures, religious beliefs and physical abilities to our school.
In November 2014 we were rated as a 'Good' school by Ofsted who stated that 'children thrive in this school.' I hope that you will agree!
